Kate has focused her career on financial services and appellate law, handling state and federal appeals. She has extensive trial experience, having served as either lead or second chair attorney in trials in both state and federal court.
Prior to joining the firm, Kate practiced in the general commercial litigation section of a large international law firm. Her experience in general commercial litigation, banking litigation, and appellate practice enables her to provide comprehensive legal advice to her clients. Kate received intensive trial skills training from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

- Won full dismissal of RICO and equity claims against national bank under Rule 12 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure in District Court for the Northern District of Texas
- Appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from a district court decision regarding a national bank’s right to enforce a dragnet clause in loan documents
- Appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Second District of Texas from a district court’s denial of a Pennsylvania resident’s special appearance
- Petition the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to reconsider adverse ruling against U.S. Diplomat after significant change in the law
- Appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from a district court decision requiring national bank to turn over collateral securing letter of credit to federal receiver
