Emmy Kunka is a business litigator with experience in franchisee and franchisor law, complex oil and gas matters, financial services cases, and other commercial disputes. Emmy provides strategic and efficient solutions to legal challenges—seeking to align litigation outcomes with her clients’ broader business objectives.
Emmy attended the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in real estate from the Terry College of Business. She then attended law school at the University of Mississippi, where she founded a Prison Project focused on prison reform in the Mississippi Delta. Emmy also led the Conservation Society, concentrating on wildlife conservation and the legal protection of native species. She contributed to and was cited in Professor William Berry’s publication, The Problem with Capital Pleas, recognized as one of the top-ten SSRN Criminal Procedure Papers. While attending Ole Miss, she served as Treasurer of the Graduate School and was awarded the Lenox Forman Scholarship and the Law Dean Non-Research Scholarship. During her final year of law school, Emmy clerked at the 362nd District Court in Denton County, Texas.
